Our client, a well-established and respected independent financial advisory firm, are looking for a business analyst to support the firm across several teams within the company. This role will see the successful candidate supporting key projects, investigating business change and providing analysis to multiple systems that enable the firm to operate more effectively.  
 
The Role 
  • Uncover the underlying business issues that need to be addressed and discover any information relating to projects and change. 
  • Monitor change queue, respond in a timely manner and clarify the need
  • Understand and document the requirements to ensure they are complete and unambiguous. 
  • Ensure the documentation of the requirements is in a layout and format that can be easily shared with and understood by stakeholders. 
  • Maintain a central requirements catalogue for future project inclusion. 
  • Support production of a business case or change request
  • Making sure that the requirements map to the business need being addressed, they are approved by all the appropriate stakeholders and that they adhere to internal governance. 
  • Help present business cases or changes for approval
  • Gain approval for sponsored change and see the change through to completion 
  • Be responsible and accountable for leading, controlling and documenting the related aspects of the management process.  
  • Set timelines, manager stakeholders, keep sponsor engaged and communicate to all.
  • Support business projects by identifying and finding solutions to any risks that occur. 
  • Ensure engagement of key stakeholders and awareness of Change and project activities across the business using a variety of communication methods.  
  • Regular meetings across all departments.
 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • A strong understanding of financial services operational and advice processes
  • Knowledge of project life cycles, project delivery and change planning – experience in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
  • Business Analysis BCS diploma 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail. 
  • Very strong communication and presentation skills. 
  • The ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines. 
  • Ability to create important documents via Microsoft Products. 
  • Experience in a Business Analyst Role or an Operations role within an IFA setting and running projects. 
  • Experience of working within a client facing role would be beneficial also. 
  • Comfortable to challenge senior stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Proven experience of the following; writing business & functional specifications, conducting system design and documentation, presenting solutions to business users, working within a change management environment.
