SSAS Administrator, Leicester (SK-1095)

£24000 - £28000 + employee benefits + discretionary bonuses

A well-established Chartered firm of Financial Planners seek an experienced SSAS professional to in the business.  The company deliver bespoke financial solutions that fit each individual client needs, working in association with a client’s other professional advisers such as Accountants and Solicitors.

You’ll be a great communicator, well organised with the ability to work to deadlines. As part of a team you’ll also be comfortable working on your own initiatives and have strong IT skills.
The Role:
  • Provide a quality administration service in respect of the Small Self-Administered Scheme (SSAS) arrangements allocated to the Accounts Executive
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Account Adviser
  • Maintain records that meet the requirements of the firm and the regulator
  • Provide an in-house point of contact for the client
  • Maintain a good working relationship with clients, other SSAS team members and Advisers
  • Assisting the other members of the SSAS team as required
Key Responsibilities:
The overall focus of the role will be to manage a portfolio of clients.
  • Set up new Schemes/implement takeovers in a timely fashion
  • Effect transfer into schemes and action property purchases/sales with appropriate training and support
  • Prepare reports and valuations for client meetings
  • Process retirement benefit applications
  • Calculate maximum borrowing and calculate a range of retirement and death benefits.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Account Adviser and prepare the required reports for client meetings
  • Carry out other routine administration tasks identified below and deal with client queries within field of expertise / range of authorisation
Pay, Benefits and Working Practices:
  • Full time role, 9:00 am to 17:00 pm, Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 16.30 pm, Friday
  • Salary range: £24,000 to £28,000 dependent on knowledge and experience
  • Half yearly discretionary bonuses
