Trainee Paraplanner, Canterbury (NT-1912)

£17000 - £20000 DoE

An exciting opportunity to work with one of the South East’s leading firms of Financial Advisers based just outside Canterbury.  

We are delighted to be working with this small, yet growing, chartered, independent wealth management firm passionate about providing detailed quality holistic financial planning advice.

The Role, an overview

To learn to provide an excellent report writing service, by producing quality documents which provide clear information/advice to clients, based on their financial needs and objectives whilst also carrying key client administration duties.

The Role

  • Understand client objectives and what information/advice is required prior to commencing work on preparing letters/suitability reports using templated documents.
  • Produce letters/suitability reports to a high standard covering fund and portfolio switches, encashments and income generation plans, pension/ISA tops up, annual reviews
  • Assisting with client work to include processing new business, liaising with providers, preparing client files for meetings
  • Obtaining policy information, documents, factsheets, illustrations and product comparison quotes through appropriate sources.
  • Provide support and assistance to other team members to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and deadlines are met.
  • Maintain client records and update client information on back office systems to keep an effective audit trail.

About You

  • Previous experience of working in an administrative role within financial advisory firm essential
  • Previous experience of working in similar role within financial services
  • Experience of working in a small to medium sized firm
  • Desire to deliver exceptional service at all times and strong focused approach to achieving the best outcome for the client and the business.
  • Excellent organisational skills, flexible and proactive approach to getting the job done.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal communication.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail to balance demands of role.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook with strong IT skills
