Paraplanner, Fareham

£20000 - £30000 + benefits


Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week 

Location: Fareham

We have an opportunity for a Paraplanner to join an Independent Financial advisory firm based in Fareham.
You will provide a high level of support to the IFAs, duties including report writing, analysis and reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Suitability Reports, ensuring they are compliant and adhere to company guidelines, in line with company procedures and IFA meeting notes. This will include the pre-completion of any documentation ready for clients to read and sign where required
  • Provide general assistance and support to the company’s administrative function including New Business, Operations, Marketing, Accounts and Compliance as and when required (including drafting letters or emails)
  • Maintain client files on the company CRM system
  • Liaise with providers and third parties to obtain information, quotes, illustrations and product details for cases to formulate recommendations for clients
  • Utilise relevant technological tools in research
  • Obtain the relevant research documentation in an efficient manner
  • Aid in the review of cases at the initial stage and feedback to the IFAs as appropriate
  • Participate in all team communications (meetings, emails etc.) to ensure a proactive and informative contribution is made
  • Make a positive contribution to support the team, working collectively and consistently through regular communication and sharing information
  • Maintain Continuous Personal Development (CPD) by attending in-house training and keeping abreast of industry developments, whilst retaining supporting documents for review

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At or working towards Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
  • Previous paraplanning experience
  • A sound understanding of the Financial Services 
  • IT literate with Microsoft (primarily PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
