Senior Paraplanner, London (JR-755)

£50000 - £55000 + excellent benefits + bonus

We are delighted to represent this forward thinking and ambitious Chartered Financial Planners based in Central London.

This is a key role supporting a Senior Financial Planner on financial strategies, plans and products, as well as supporting the Administration and Paraplanning team with additional technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Using your technical knowledge to complete meeting preparation, including:

  • Preparation and compiling of financial analysis
  • Analysing client data and preparing cash flow analyses
  • Researching products to support your recommendations
  • Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
  • Providing support for the Client Partner and Financial Planner
  • Ensuring that all regulatory and compliance standards are met
  • Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
  • Ensuring that all client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion
  • Managing, recording and monitoring client annual and interim reviews on behalf of the Client Partner and Financial Planner(s) 
  • Prepare all relevant paperwork for client meetings – with help of Technical Assistant where appropriate 
  • Assisting with client presentations and any other activities as agreed 
  • Individual and team workflow and task delivery

  • An understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to financial services clients
  • Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally
  • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • IT skills commensurate with computer packages used including detailed understanding and use of Enable (CRM tool)
  • Accuracy of work and attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of products including pension transfers, tax planning investments including EIS, SEIS, VCT and BPR and structured products, research and analytical tools
  • Review company processes and procedures to ensure these remain efficient and best practice
  • Oversee the delivery of all general office and business administration, ensuring all legislative and business requirements are met, along with any additional requirements from the network
  • Where relevant plan and hold the Technical Assistants half year and annual reviews

Minimum Qualifications: QCF 6 CII Chartered Financial Planner
