SIPP Administrator, Leicester (JR-1673)

£24000 - £27000 plus benefits

Our client is a well-established Financial Services business with an excellent reputation across the Midlands. In business since the 1980’s, the company has grown significantly throughout this period and continues to provide their clients with unrivalled support and expertise.

The business is now responsible for more than £600 million in assets and is looking to add a new SIPP Administrator to the firm.
 
Purpose of the Role
 
Assist with carrying out the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of SIPPs, whilst supporting your colleagues within the team as required.
Provide a quality of service to both clients and their advisers working within agreed Key Performance Indicators and to internal service standards.
 
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Administration of a portfolio of SIPPs
  • Work closely with the SIPP Team Leader, Management and Financial Consultants to deliver the highest possible standard of service to clients and their advisers
  • Ensure that all relevant work received is recorded in the SIPP Pro Worklog using the appropriate task types. Update the system using appropriate notes to reflect the work undertaken and when the task is complete update accordingly
  • Process contributions and transfers into existing SIPPs
  • Monitor SIPP bank accounts to ensure that funds are invested when necessary and that sufficient cash is retained to pay fees, adviser remuneration and income payments
  • Process new investments as required ensuring that they are approved and permitted investments  
  • Arrange surrenders of investments where appropriate
  • Assist team members to undertake property and land purchases and sales in accordance with internal procedures and guidelines
  • Ensuring that rent reviews, lease expiries and insurance renewals are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Prepare drawdown calculations in accordance with internal procedures and guidelines
  • Prepare SIPP asset valuations
  • Administer a small scheme allocation with guidance to aid progression
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute feedback and ideas for improvement of service
  • Ensure that tasks personally allocated on the SIPP Pro Worklog are monitored and updated 
About You
 
You will have some experience of SIPP administration and demonstrate the following core competencies:
