Paraplanner, Leicester (JR-1127)

£30000 - £35000 plus excellent employee benefits

This business is a well-established IFA that work on behalf of clients across the UK, in particular the Midlands and London.

Based out of Leicester, the business is looking for an experienced Paraplanner with experience working within a Financial Planning office to join the team.

You will ensure full compliance with FCA regulations on the conduct of business, as well as the Company's internal administrative requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce standard and ad hoc valuation reports from the system, including updating holdings, verifying unit holdings and double-checking valuation prices
  • Support the consultants in their advisory work with private clients, including the collation of information, obtaining illustrations, the production of standard letters, also standard and non-standard reports, including the production of suitability letters
  • Support the sales and giving of advice to private clients, including the administering of all sales, all paper and system-based administration and client liaison work in connection with any private client product sales
  • Provide analysis, monitoring and reporting as required, in respect of investment valuation reports
  • Provide and be responsible for the regular production of system generated valuation reports for existing clients and the successful uploading of valuation reports for new clients
  • Provide and be responsible for paraplanning for clients' 'needs', including research, solution design (in conjunction with a consultant) and report writing
  • Contribute to the success of the Company overall and to adhere to all internal standards, administration procedures and time recording regulations
  • Be aware of market conditions and the strengths and weaknesses of competitors
  • Be conversant with the Company Procedures manual, the requirements of the FCA Standards and Rules and to implement and maintain procedures as stipulated
  • Liaise with the Administration Manager with a view to maintaining good working practice within the team.  Updating and improving systems wherever possible
  • Be conversant with and adhere to the Company's Complaints Procedures
  • Concentrate on self-improvement, both technically and by quality, and maintain a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) log as provided
  • Be aware of others' needs and strive to help colleagues improve their technical knowledge and quality of output
  • Be aware of Health and Safety requirements and avoid any actions or omissions, which could create an unhealthy or unsafe environment for yourself, colleagues, clients or visitors
  • Strictly adhere to all Group protocols in respect of use of technology and avoid misuse of the system
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in respect of all information arising from and in connection with the Group and the Company
  • Undertake any other duties in keeping with the nature of the position

Knowledge required

Thorough knowledge of:

                a)            Valuation report systems

                b)            Product markets available

                c)            All company specific procedures

                d)            Regulatory requirements in operation at any time

                e)            FCA regulations and guidelines relating to client investments

Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning
