Trainee Financial Adviser

£30000 - £35000 plus benefits

We are delighted to be working with this long established and well recognised Financial Services company that have been providing financial advice to corporate and private clients for more than 70 years! The business has continued to grow throughout this time, largely through referrals and repeat business, in a lot of cases they have been looking after generations of family wealth.

They now have an opportunity for a trainee Financial Adviser to join the business. There will be a training plan designed to focus on your needs and allowing for your existing experience to take you from your current position to a point where you can start to undertake client desk based reviews via phone/video link, shadowing the existing advisers and then start off advising on protection business building over time to full holistic financial planning. Given the personalised nature of the plan, this is likely to be 6 months and longer.
 
Key Requirements
  • Identify and contact potential clients. 
  • Gather and record sufficient client information and identify client needs and aims.
  • Analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research to support the advisers and paraplanners to make suitable recommendations. 
  • Complete all supporting documentation in an accurate manner.
  • Attain Competent Adviser status as defined by the Regulator and the firm.

Qualifications & Experience
  • QCA Level 4 Qualification – Diploma in Financial Planning (e.g. CII / IFS).
  • Financial Services experience – at least 4/5 years in the industry with a minimum of 2 years within an IFA environment, perhaps with a paraplanning/administration or compliance background.
  • Knowledge of technology; i.e. laptop / PC and be able to use e-mail / internet and research / suitability systems.
