Financial Adviser

£45000 - £70000 OTE £100,000 - £140,000
We are delighted to be working with this long established and well recognised Financial Services company that have been providing financial advice to corporate and private clients for more than 70 years! The business has continued to grow throughout this time, largely through referrals and repeat business, in a lot of cases they have been looking after generations of family wealth.
 
They now have an opportunity for an additional Financial Adviser to join the business. that can either develop and implement their own business plan and/or introduce existing clients with AUM and existing professional introducers.
 
They are in a position to provide leads to supplement the business you generate, leads are generated through other divisions from within their business such as their Employee Benefits and Mortgage areas.  In addition, a small no. of clients may be made available to service and develop via the clients' annual desk top reviews - carried out by phone or video link. 
 
 
Key Requirements of the Role
 
  • Identify and contact potential clients. 
  • Implement a business plan to achieve income targets
  • Gather and record sufficient client information and identify client needs  and aims
  • Analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research to make suitable recommendations. 
  • Complete all supporting documentation in an accurate manner.
  • Attain and maintain Competent Adviser status as defined by the Regulator and the firm.
  • Comply at all times with the firm’s pension transfer procedures.
  • The role requires one to work on own initiative acting on customers instructions and making decisions to meet their needs within company and FCA guidelines.
  • Comply at all times with the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the FCA Principles, Code of Practice for approved persons and rules.

Qualifications & Experience
 
Essential
 
  • QCA Level 4 Qualification – Diploma in Financial Planning (e.g. CII / IFS)
  • Financial Services experience – at least 5 years in industry with a minimum of 2 years in an Advice role / IFA environment
  • Valid and clean driving licence
  • Knowledge of technology; i.e. laptop / PC and be able to use e-mail / internet and research / suitability systems
  • Consistent record of target achievement and business growth
       
Desirable
 
  • Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent); e.g. Chartered Financial Planner (CII) / Certified Financial Planner (IFP)
  • Selling experience and proven track record in IFA Industry
  • Educated to degree standard
  • Full client support and paraplanning services provided.
