Financial Services Administrator

We are delighted to be working with this long established and well recognised Financial Services company that have been providing financial advice to corporate and private clients for more than 70 years! The business has continued to grow throughout this time, largely through referrals and repeat business, in a lot of cases they have been looking after generations of family wealth.

They now have an opportunity for an additional Administrator to join the business. Option to work 2 days a week from home.

Purpose & Dimensions

To provide administration support to Financial Consultants and other administrators within the team.

Key Outputs

  • You will be an integral part of the advice process helping consultants to increase business income
  • The level of support you will provide includes; new business processing, compliance preparation, and general administration duties and will be expected to
  • help out the team wherever possible.
  • You will provide basic product knowledge based technical information to clients and other contacts
  • Assist consultants with effective time management by arranging appointments with clients and other contacts.

Key Skills

  • You will be a team player, who has strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • You will be able to prioritise and manage your workload through excellent time management skills and the use of your initiative.
  • You will be adaptive and have the ability to re-organise tasks at short notice.
  • You will have a good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook. An experience of the IFA back office systems such as 'Intelligent Office’ is preferred

  • To provide support to the team, when required, in addition to own duties.

  • To develop and maintain a good standard of product knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum Qualifications of 5 GCSEs at C grade or above to include Maths and English.
  • A working knowledge of Word, Excel, MS Outlook, e-mail and Internet.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of working in an IFA environment.

Desirable

  • Competent with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Willingness to study for the CII Level 2 award in Life & Pensions or higher.
  • 3 years’ experience of working in IFA environment
