Trainee Paraplanner / Senior Administrator, Flax Bourton (BW-1590)

£26000 - £28000 plus benefits
 
We are delighted to represent this independently owned Chartered firm of Financial Planners who are seeking a Senior Administrator/Trainee Paraplanner to join their busy team carrying out key client administrative duties, undertaking research to support suitability reports whilst undergoing further CII exams.
 
This is effectively a hybrid role until full Level 4 Dip achieved.
 
Job Role
 
Working in collaboration with Financial Planners, Paraplanners and other colleagues, you will maintain and manage client records, process life, pension and investment new business, carry client transactions such as fund switches and withdrawals, answer and deal with telephone enquiries, prepare valuations.
 
Undertake training to be able to provide research to support the paraplanners and advisers in the preparation of suitability reports.
 
The role will involve promoting the company’s services in a professional and FCA compliant manner.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Ensure that all compliance paperwork is present and in order 
  • Prepare application forms and paperwork for clients to complete 
  • Process and manage new business and servicing through to completion. Chase progress of applications; alerting Financial Planners to any issues arising and keeping clients up to date with any progress 
  • Make changes to clients’ investments as instructed by paraplanners or planners 
  • Prepare client portfolio valuations and review documents
  • Undertake client attitude to risk assessments, research, analysis and product selection
  • Attend regular meetings with Paraplanner and Planner to discuss work in progress

  • Good communication skills both face to face and over the phone 
  • An ability to work under own initiative and as a team player 
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of a firm’s record keeping requirements 
  • Have technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax and trusts
 
Qualifications & Experience
 
  • At least 2/3 years experience within an Advisory Planning firm
  • Be part way through your Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
